Port Isabel- On March 31st, Elon Musk made an announcement via Twitter that he is donating $20 million towards Cameron County Schools.
With the Point Isabel School District being smaller than other school districts, faculty and parents are looking out for this potential donation.
Point Isabel I-S-D High School Principal, Imelda Munivez says the first plan that is wanted with the donation is expanding the C-T-E Program.
This would directly impact students to get them certified in the future.
“Its real world experiences working with tools that they can be exposed to at this level because hopefully they will be able to get a certification and once they graduate they will already be formular when they enter the workforce,” says Munivez.
