Gabriela Sandoval EDINBURG – Earlier this month the Latino Theatre Initiative (LTI) at UTRGV hosted several events, including its Fiesta Latina to kick off the start of the semester, and it’s first performance of the year titled El Mas Alla a student-led project.
Kiana Saldaña, LTI president, said LTI organizes these events not only to showcase Latin culture but to also get the exposure on the performers involved.
“We enjoy putting on kind of like Latino-based performances,” said Saldaña. “Whether that be theatre, or any type of performances like music, singing, any type of art honestly.”
LTI will be hosting its talent showcase on Nov. 13 which is open for anyone to sign up and perform.
