Student requests for better services at UTRGV are endless.
“We only have like 3 restaurants and mostly everyone goes to Chick-fil-A.”
But not all of these requests are being voiced to university officials.
“Various departments or different sections of UTRGV may have their own Student Advisory Board,” said Alejandro Saldivar.
Newly appointed SGA President Alejandro Saldivar says that students can provide input and propose change through advisory boards and campus committees to a department chair.
“All these committees, they typically reach out to SGA so we can put them in contact with students that are interested in joining these committees so we can provide recommendations to them,” said Saldivar.
Saldivar says he currently serves on a committee himself where recommendations are provided to President Bailey on the allocation of student service fees for university departments.
All the positions are currently filled for the Student Fee Advisory Committee for this term, but the Student Union is currently looking to fill positions on their own Advisory Board.
