RGV band …And The Hero Prevails Reveals Plans for their Next Show.

Dathan Trevino December 1, 2023

Texas- San Benito rock band “…And The Hero Prevails,” goes on their 15th year of preforming. They have opened Opening for bands like Hoobastank, and headlined shows at The Moon Rock in Harlingen.

“When you hear the crowd roaring like, you don’t just hear it you feel it right here,” the band’s guitarist, Erick Hernandez, said.

Lead Singer Troy Fonseca and Bassist Zack Elizondo met in elementary and started the band in high school.

Soon they were joined by guitarist Erick Hernandez, drummer Jeff Minor and original drummer Dre Munoz.

Elizondo recalled some “snapshot movie moments” in the band’s history.

“We’ve had a crazy career and we’ve been able to you know genuinely play arenas, play in front of thousands, play with bands that we grew up listening to, and like, I know our middle school selves would almost kind like, almost wouldn’t believe the stuff we’ve been able to accomplish,” Elizondo said.

In early July of 2021, the band announced on its Instagram that they were parting ways with original member Dre Munoz.

That’s when Guitarist Nick Cañas joined the band right before they opened for Hoobastank in September.

Troy Fonseca, Lead Singer of the band said landing the Hoobastank opener was “mind blowing.”

“It happened in a matter of like a minute. Like just, the relaying through text, and uh, that was just like, it was like ‘oh my gosh I should freeze this moment,’” Fonseca said.

Fonseca said says the band will do a Led Zeplin tribute show at Cine El Rey in Mcallen on Feb. 17.
