March 5 Unofficial Primary Election Results

EDINBURG– As of 10:09 p.m., unofficial votes for Hidalgo County show incumbent Joe Biden and Donald Trump are leading the Democratic and Republican parties respectively. Donald Trump is leading with 87.66% and Joe Biden 65.20%.  

Ted Cruz is leading the Republican Party for U.S. Senator with 89.57% and Roland Gutierrez with 30.29% for the Democratic Party.  

Monica De La Cruz leads the U.S. Representative, District 15 Republican Party with 89.16% and Michelle Vallejo leads with 72.05% for the Democratic Party.  

Ezequiel Jurado runs unopposed for the Republican Party Sheriff while J.E. ‘Eddie’ Guerra leads with 75.92% for the Democratic Party.  

Princess Anne Gonzalez and Bobby Contreras both run unopposed for Justice of the Peace, Precinct No.2, Place 1 for the Republican and Democratic parties respectively.  

Abiel Flores leads with 35.28% for the District Judge, 332nd Judicial District for the Democratic Party with no Republican opponent.  

BROWNSVILLE- As of 10:18 p.m., Cameron County’s unofficial results show incumbent Joe Biden and Donald Trump leading the presidential race with 66.39% and 85.96% respectively.  

Incumbent Ted Cruz is leading the Republican Party for U.S. Senator with 88.47% while Ronald Gutierrez is leading the Democratic party with 31.15%.  

Vicente Gonzalez is running unopposed for the Democratic party on the U.S. Representative District 34 race while Mayra Flores is leading with 83.63% votes in the Republican Party.  

Eric Garza is leading the Democratic Party for Sheriff with 36.74%, while Manuel “Manny” Trevino remains in close second with 26.32%; Santiago “Jimmy” Manrrique is running unopposed in the Republican Party.
