For this week’s sports highlights, men’s soccer coach Paul Leese was inducted into Coker College Hall of Fame, Saturday February 2.
2011’s Coker Men’s soccer team was lead by Leese and is the fifth athletic team to be inducted into the Coker College Hall of Fame. Leese said [he] “knows how hard the team worked in 2011 and the sacrifices each player made that contributed to their success and is ranked No. 1 in the Southeast region and No. 5 in the nation which is demonstrated by character and commitment from the young men.”
Moving forward we have the women’s basketball make its second big win of the season against Kansas City, Saturday February 2. Girls Madison Northcutt, Megan Johnson and Idil Turk lead the team to a 75-56 big win.
Up next, men’s tennis faced Baylor University Sunday February 3 where UTRGV lost 0-4.
