San Juan- Ben and Jerry’s launched a new ice cream flavor, “Pecan Resist.”
The company partnered with four organizations, including Color of Change, Honor the Earth, Neta and Women’s March.
Neta is an organization based on the Rio Grande Valley.
“It’s an honor to be in this collaboration with such as big company like Ben and Jerry’s and such a popular artist like Favianna representing the Rio Grande Valley, representing the work that we do here. We’ve gotten so many positive messages from people saying they’re happy that Neta is part of it but they feel it’s the whole community,” said Dani Marrero Hi.
Ben and Jerry’s stated the flavor represents the “fight against President Trump´s regressive agenda.”
The flavor is chocolate ice cream with white and dark fudge chunks, pecans, walnuts and fudge covered almonds.
