Edinburg- The UTRGV School of Medicine and its care team, UT Health RGV, have temporarily suspended registration to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
UTRGV Executive Vice President for Health Affairs and Dean of The School of Medicine, Dr. John H. Krouse says UTRGV is temporarily suspending new vaccine registrations.
“We’re only getting doses of vaccine in the range of 2,000 to 3,000 doses a week,” says Krouse.
“So, if we’re getting 45,000 registrants a week but 3,000 doses a week, we’re never going to get those people covered.”
