Ian Juarez EDINBURG – The oldest natural history museum in the country, The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, is closing its doors to the public 200 years after it was founded.
Founded in 1812 in Philadelphia, the museum will still be open to scientific and academic research, but not to the public.
Jack Bish, UTRGV anthropology Lecturer I, said the closure may save money for the institution, but is “concerned about what that can mean for the public.”
