UTRGV- UTRGV launches their annual back to school welcoming for students.
The four-day event consists of festivities and provides valuable campus resources.
The university uses this event to showcase what they have to offer to students. Among the things are a variety of student organizations and local businesses that provide free food and merchandise.
Student Involvement’s Program Coordinator Lauren Contreras mentions a research that states the correlation between Student Involvement and student performance.
“Students who are involved typically want to be at school more so that means in the classroom and getting involved in their studies and so we see a connection and getting involved in these events will actually generate success in their classroom,” said Contreras.
