UTRGV – This year The Office of the President and The Office of the Provost will be having two separate Holiday Card Contest’s, allowing six students the chance to win scholarship prizes. Each student is only allowed to enter one of the contests.
The two first place winners will receive $1,000 and second and third places will receive $500 dollars.
Designs like photographs, paintings, drawings or digital art are accepted and will be submitted to the website’s online entry form.
Associate Vice President for UTRGV Marketing and Communications, Patrick Gonzales says the contest will not consider any references to religious holidays or any text on the artwork.
“Really it’s just a way to one, engage the students in a university tradition and two, it’s another way to provide financial support to students,” Gonzales says.
