And here’s this week’s police reports released to us by UTRGV PD this past week:
On September 24 at 11:09 a.m. a female student reported that she lost her wallet containing a credit card on the Edinburg campus between the Math General Classroom building and lot E4 on September 20. Since misplacing the wallet, her credit card has been used at several businesses off campus without her authorization. Case is under investigation.
On September 25 at 9:03 a.m. an officer responded to the Visitor’s Center on the Edinburg campus in reference to a male student causing a disturbance. The student became upset about shuttle bus scheduling that caused him to miss a class in Brownsville. The student apologized to staff members in the area.
That same day at 6:40 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation at Ringgold Rd. and Gorgas Rd. in Brownsville. Upon making contact with the non-affiliated male operator, the officer detected the odor of marihuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded no useable amount of marihuana. The operator was issued a written warning for the traffic violations.
