UTRGV- On this week’s police reports, a female student reported being harassed via social media by a non-affiliated ex-boyfriend while off campus. She has filed a police report with Edinburg PD.
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation in parking lot E-39 in the Edinburg campus. A records check on the non-affiliated female driver revealed she had an active arrest warrant from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office for Theft of Service. The warrant was confirmed and she was arrested. She was later jailed in the Hidalgo County Jail and is awaiting extradition. The vehicle and children were released to a family member that arrived on scene. The female driver was issued a traffic citation for the original traffic violation.
A male student reported feeling light headed and that he injured his right leg hamstring playing limbo with other students in the STAC Building. The student refused emergency medical services.
