McAllen Airport Reports Air Travel Spike

Amada Baldovinos March 3, 2022

MCALLEN- The McAllen International Airport has had an increase in air travel since 2019. Records showed the airport started receiving a significant number of passengers in early 2021, with 850,000 passengers traveling.

“Now this important investment on the airport and the partnership with airlines, helped Mcallen outperform its pre covid record” said Javier Villalobos, Mayor of Mcallen.

The International Airport expects to continue seeing this number of passengers and is prepared with a full staff ready to handle the surge.
