South Padre Island– Governor Greg Abbott’s recent order allows businesses to open at full capacity and the mask mandate has been lifted.
The city of South Padre Island and a local business are prepared to conduct business during spring break, despite the presence of COVID-19.
“Our employees will most likely still wear masks, but the patrons, they do not have to wear masks,” says the owner of Clayton’s Beach Bar & Grill, Clayton Brashear.
South Padre Island City Manager, Randy Smith, shares that the city is encouraging and expecting a more family-oriented spring break.
