Brownsville– Reports of active shooter and mass shooting situations at establishments have been circulating across the nation.

The Brownsville Police Department is encouraging businesses to take their Civilian Response to Active Shooter training.

“Once they are done with their training, they are going to have the knowledge and they are going to have the tools to react to an active shooter, to be able to keep their workplace safe and their workers safe,” says Brownsville Police Public Information Officer, Carlos Sandoval.

If your business is interested in the training, contact Officer Sandoval at (956) 548-7121 or at bpd.pio@brownsvilletx.org.
