EDINBURG – The Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District is working with consultants after mishaps with its new payroll system. Some employees were overpaid, underpaid, or not paid at all.
Superintendent, Mario H. Salinas said ECISD was using ITEX, Imperial Payroll System for 30 years and updated to a new system. He said the school district is prepared for setbacks.
“We do have a plan in place…But nothing is a hundred percent, I can’t tell you a hundred percent it’s never [going] to happen again,” said Salinas.
