EDINBURG – The Personal Transportation Riding Devices policy remains in effect at UTRGV, but many are still unaware of the policy.
The policy was implemented in December 2019. It prohibits bicycles, skateboards, and other riding devices on covered walkways, breezeways, and pedestrian bridges on all campuses.
“We just want everyone to be safe when they come back to campus,” Van Slusser, Assistant Chief of Police said. “They all have a legitimate need to be on campus and we just want everyone to be able to interact safely and get where they need to go without any problems, without any accidents occurring.”
