EDINBURG -The Dean of Students provides support services to help DACA students find resources to enroll in college.
Coordinator for the Center for Diversity and Inclusion and Dream Resource Center, Aaron Hinojosa said, “We try to communicate that it is possible to attend college.”
Hinojosa said that DACA students are uneasy about attending college, this after a recent ruling in July by U.S. District Judge Hanen making DACA unlawful.
“There’s still some nervousness that exist in terms of like what’s [going to] happen in the future…Is DACA [going to] go away.”
In a press release, President Biden plans to appeal ruling.
