UTRGV- We’ll be starting a new segment this week as we disclose incidents that occurred on campus as released to us from the UTRGV Police Department.
Over the last week, a female faculty member tripped over a raised area on the sidewalk in the area of lot B1 of the Brownsville campus causing facial injuries and an injury to her left shoulder. The faculty member was transported to Valley Regional Medical Center for further medical attention.
A male student reported that his vehicle was burglarized while parked unattended in lot B2 in the Brownsville campus from 1330 hours to 1500 hours on 10/16/2018. A backpack containing a laptop was stolen. The vehicle did not show signs of a forced entry. Case is under investigation.
A female student reported a known male student yelled profanities at her while in a class room at the Math General Classroom in the Edinburg campus over classroom sitting. This report will be referred to UTRGV Student Rights and Responsibilities for further review.
