UTRGV- UTRGV’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics raised an estimate of over $800,000 after fundraising for over 17 months.
UTRGV Athletics will be using some of the fundraised money to improve current on campus facilities.
According to Vice President and Director of UTRGV Athletics, Chasse Conque, the department wouldn’t have reached this success without the combined effort of everyone involved.
“The main piece of that $800,000 announcement is our champions club. Those folks commit $5,000 a year and they do it for multi year commitments”, said Conque.
“Things we can do above and beyond what we are currently doing nutrition, giving our coaches the tools to be able to recruit greatly respected student-athletes, so investing in recruiting and even team travel. We really want to start looking into facility enhancements.”
