United States – Taking action to protect the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program is part of President Joe Biden’s day one promises.
Immigration Attorney, Jaime Diez mentions DACA was created to block deportation for “Dreamers,” or undocumented people who arrived in the U.S. as children. He adds there are requirements for citizenship.
“But now that President Biden has come over, he says you know what I’m going to refer to, meaning that I’m not going to be going after the program. We need to continue the program, but at the same time, he’s pushing for immigration reform,” says Diez.
“Anybody that has had any arrests, will have to be truthful to themselves.”
