EDINBURG- 11-year-old Edinburg resident Francisco Santana and his brother were attacked by the neighbor’s dog as they were walking back home from a friend’s house. Francisco took action by pushing and hitting the dog so they could escape, but that led him to receiving serious injuries.
Mother Cindy Santana states they faced injuries such as skin bitten off from several parts of their bodies and losing a finger, but adds that she is thankful her family members who gathered to celebrate Francisco’s heroism.
“We were really thankful that they did that because we saw our boys down because of everything that happened and all the pain they had to go through, we really saw their happy faces, emotions and everything,” said Santana.
