USPS Prepares to Handle Mail-In Votes

HIDALGO COUNTY- Although Governor Greg Abbott decided to place only one mail ballot drop off box per county, the Hidalgo County Postal Office says it is prepared to handle the ballots for the presidential election.

 We spoke to the United States Postal Services Strategic Communications Specialist for the Rio Grande district, Becky Hernandez, on how the post office plans to handle the ballots this year.

“We have additional processing time, we have the capacity, equipment, the employees. We are ready to go,” stated Hernandez.
