UTRGV Police Notice a Decrease in Calls

utrgvtv September 22, 2020

UTRGV – The UTRGV University Police notices a drop in calls with the decrease of visitors and have noticed less reports of criminal activity.

Adan Cruz, UTRGV Chief of Police, says fewer people called the station this past summer as a result of fewer people visiting the campus – but adds that the start of the fall semester caused a slight increase in calls. To ensure student and staff safety, Chief Cruz says the number of officers on duty hasn’t changed even though the campuses have less people.
