Harlingen- UTRGV and the City of Harlingen announced plans to expand the university’s presence in the city.
Harlingen currently hosts the Clinical Education Building which serves medical students. The new expansion is set to be built on Hale Drive and will aid the Harlingen school district’s Early College program. High school students will have the opportunity to take dual enrollment classes and earn college credit through the facility. The first construction on the project is expected to be completed by 2021.
