EDINBURG- On Wednesday Afternoon, UTRGV Athletics declared a 30-million investment that will be distributed to all 16 sports over the next three years.
“We have a tremendous complement of coaches that lead our young people, mentor them, develop them. Today is about one of those final pieces. Today is about finally giving our coaches and young people the tools, they need to be successful. We are winning in the classroom, and we will continue to win in the courts, fields, and playing, but today is championship caliber, said Conque.”
According to a UTRGV Athletics press release, these changes will be funded by an increase in revenue streams such as fundraising and an increase in ticket sales. So far, no word about how much more will need to be paid at the box office.
