UTRGV – WAC Votes is an initiative to make sure that all eligible student athletes can vote for this upcoming presidential election on November 3rd.
Western Athletic Conference Associate Commissioner for Compliance, Marlon Edge, says that one of the goals the Western Athletic Conference wanted to achieve is to increase voter awareness among student athletes.
According to Edge, this program has a website that student athletes can access to educate themselves about both presidential candidates. “We just want to make sure that our student athletes are educated and making those informed decisions,” stated Edge.
