BROWNSVILLE (March 30 @ 9:56 a.m.) – A box of N-95 masks was reportedly stolen from the Brownsville campus.
A male staff member reported that those N-95 masks were stolen from the Biomedical Research and Health Professions Building.
Officials state that it happened between March 27 and March 28. No word on how many masks were stolen.
BROWNSVILLE (March 30 @ 10:37 a.m.) – A dispute in the UT Health COVID-19 drive-thru testing site in Brownsville after a male faculty member tried to enter a barricaded area.
It happened last Monday as officers patrolled the area of lot B-4 when an officer noticed the male faculty member trying to make his way into the barricaded area.
The report states the officer then asked him to go around but the faculty member became upset and vulgar- even displaying an obscene hand gesture.
This incident will now be handled administratively.
