HARLINGEN (April 6 @ 8:29 a.m.) – A contractor reports a construction trailer being burglarized on the site of the Institute for Neuroscience Building in Harlingen.
Officials say there were signs of forced entry. They mention some of the items taken in the burglary were tools and radio equipment. A Timely Warning Notification was sent in regards to this incident. The case is currently under investigation.
EDINBURG (April 9 @ 6:49 p.m.) – On the Edinburg campus, officers respond to an active fire alarm in the Science Complex on the Edinburg campus.
Officials say there was a duct detector issue. Edinburg Fire personnel arrived at the scene and reset the alarm. The building was cleared for re-entry and a work order was placed to have the system inspected.
BROWNSVILLE (April 10 @ 6:48 p.m.) – A water leak in a mechanical room at the University Library in Brownsville triggers a fire alarm.
The Brownsville Fire Department arrived and cleared the building. Officials say UTRGV Facilities was notified and no visible damage was reported.
