UTRGV – The season of giving is just around the corner, decorate a wreath and donate it to charity during the 7th annual Adopt-A-Wreath event. Student Union Event Manager Mabel Cortina-Matos gives us more details on the upcoming event.
“We have events year long where students get to create a craft, and take it with them, this is the one time a year we ask them to leave their craft behind, and so we ask students to come by, and decorate a wreath, and then they leave it for us to donate to a hospice in either Edinburg or Brownsville. To be able to give back to the community, and do good for something else feels so good and we create that opportunity, we just bring those opportunities together. It’s open to the UTRGV community, anybody who wants to come and help us create wreaths is more than welcome to attend.” said Cortina-Matos.
The event will be held on both the Edinburg and Brownsville campus on Thursday, November 21st at 11 A.M.
