EDINBURG- The University of Texas of Rio Grande Valley’s Department of Communication hosts a Pet Food Donation Drive for two local animal rescues, Yaqui Animal Rescue & Brownsville Animal Defense.
According to the Department of Communication, the RGV is home to one of the largest stray animal populations in the nation.
Students can donate pet food and/or supplies. Students don’t have to spend a lot to contribute, many items like old towels and blankets can be brought from home.
Students can drop off items at the following locations:
· ELABS 172 (Hauser Lab)
· ELABS 161 (Edinburg COMM Office)
· B.MAIN 1.1210A (Brownsville COMM Office)
Students unable to make it to campus can make a monetary donation to Yaqui Animal Rescue via CashApp at $yaquianimalrescue and Brownsville Animal Defense via CashApp at $brownsvilleanimal10.
