EDINBURG – Four UTRGV piano students are getting recognized for the second time for a project called Creating Your Own Method Book: A Blueprint for Aspiring Pedagogues,” and a project called “Notes From La Frontera: Strategies for Teaching Undeserved Students.”
UTRGV Associate Professor for School of Music, Brendan Kinsella says we decided to start this program for students who wanted to participate in events.
“We started setting our eye on the prize of getting into big conferences and getting recognition for the students,” Kinsella mentions.
The chapter is working on a series of concerts for “Music for Food” to raise funds for families facing food security and financial stability. This event will take place at the end of April at Valley Keyboards in McAllen.
