EDINBURG (April 17 @ 4:30 p.m.) – A woman was issued a criminal trespass warning after being denied testing for COVID-19 on the Edinburg campus.
This happened on lot E-34. According to officials, the woman was walking around campus wanting to get tested and displayed aggression towards the clinical staff. She was denied testing due to not having identification or having made an appointment. Officials say she returned to the site multiple times and was later issued the criminal trespass warning.
EDINBURG (April 19 @ 8:49 a.m.) – A faculty member requested his wife’s office (also another faculty member) be unlocked after having had a verbal argument.
This happened at the Academic Services Building. According to the report, the faculty member stated to an officer that he wanted to check if his wife was fine. The officer made contact with the female faculty member at her office. She confirmed to him that she and her husband had a verbal argument earlier in the morning at their home in McAllen. She stated she just needed some time away from him to clear her thoughts. The husband agreed to give his wife some time and left the campus to avoid any further problems.
