MCALLEN – The International Museum of Art and Science takes part in the national affair of Welcome Week, aimed at building unity between immigrant and native communities.
During Welcoming Week, held this year from September 17 to 22, participants engage in activities to celebrate the diversity of the RGV.
The museum also offering presentations and bilingual galleries tours to recognize immigrant contributions to the community.
“Certainly exposing young children to the diversity that is in our community and in our world around is an important foundation for learning together, building respect and eventually working together,” said IMAS President and Executive Director Ann Fortescue.
