Matthew Gonzalez EDINBURG – The UTRGV Women’s Basketball team is getting its newest roster additions ready ahead of opening night on Nov. 2.
Fans can expect a blend of veteran experience and new energy, with seven returning players and six newcomers joining the squad this year.
Chazlyn Dettor, sophomore forward, said integrating the new players has been a smooth process as the team builds chemistry both on and off the court.
Lane Lord, women’s basketball head coach, said he is leaning on the returners to set the standard early.
