MCALLEN- The Mcallen Public Library has added an essential shelf to the list of services already provided for teens all over the Rio Grande Valley. Some of the hygiene essentials added are shampoo, toothpaste, facewash, feminine products, and deodorant.
“We have teens that come from different social economic backgrounds so they sometimes need a little bit of help, and this is an excellent way we could help them” said Leslie Cortinas, library assistant.
The library will continue accepting donations and is working with different school districts to create new services for all ages.
